Dear Parents and Friends,
Welcome to Country Day School’s A Night at the Masquerade Auction. We are excited for you to join us in this effort to raise critical funds for school enrichment that tuition does not cover, including sustaining the student scholarship program, offering free parent education workshops, adding resources to the classrooms, and maintaining the historical buildings and grounds.
We are also so very grateful for your support in helping us to raise funds for our Outdoor Classroom to benefit all the children at CDS. With the money raised through the Auction, we will be able to make some wonderful improvements to our playgrounds to expand their use for years to come. I am sure you are aware of the most recent studies about how important outdoor play and especially large motor activities are to the growth of preschoolers. If the funds allow we will be building two large digging areas, one on Walnut and one on Giving Tree. These will be complete with large trucks and other accessories for the children to use. We also hope to be able to introduce activity panels, more ride-on toys for our youngest students, a mud kitchen and possibly even some additional outside storage space. The possibilities are as vast as our playgrounds!
Thank you to the many parents who sponsored the Gala and donated auction items. This Auction and Gala would not be possible without the time and talent of many people. The names are too many to mention in this letter but we are so appreciative of everyone’s help. Our chairs for this year’s Auction, Lindsey Keatley and Monica Klein, have assembled a talented crew to handle the Auction and Gala. Thanks to everyone who solicited, planned, and set up A Night at the Masquerade to benefit Country Day School.
Thank you for your wonderful generosity and your continuing support of Country Day School. We all look forward to a great evening filled with fun and friends.
Sincerely,
Diane Dunne
